Grounded in traditional watercolor technique and representational depictions, Linda Maldonado has explored acrylic and collage methods for more abstract expressions.  Her series of mixed media collages entitled “The Power of the Word,” expresses concepts of love, awe, and appreciation of the spirit.   One of the paintings in this series appeared in the Visions VIII International Juried Show in Covington, KY, in spring 2004.  She returns to watercolor landscapes when traveling to capture a sense of place.

Linda is a member of the Arlington Artists Alliance, Potomac Valley Watercolorists, The Art League of Alexandria, and the National Collage Society.  Her work is frequently on display in local exhibits.  She teaches collage workshops through the Arlington Artists Alliance.
